Past ISEF winners and judges who coach students to compete for state, national, and international science fair awards
Capstone project mentors who help students design and scale leadership initiatives with real-world impact, measurable outcomes, and credible external validation
We’re backed by leading VC firms, including Tiger Global, Heal Partners, IceHouse Ventures, and Movac, and recently closed a USD $40M Series D funding round at a USD $640M valuation. We now operate across 21 markets worldwide, including the US, Canada, UK, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.
About Crimson Capstone
Our revamped Capstone Program gives students the opportunity to transform their interests into purposeful, high-impact projects across six pathways:
Education & Programs
Software & Technology
Engineering & Innovation
Policy & Social Impact
Arts & Media
Ventures & Business
Each pathway is structured around three progressive outcome levels, designed to reflect a student’s journey from exploration and foundational execution to increasingly sophisticated, independent, and impact-driven work. As students advance, they are challenged to deepen their expertise, take greater ownership of their projects, and demonstrate tangible outcomes within their chosen field.
The Role
As a Capstone Mentor, you’ll guide students through their personalized project journey, helping them transform their ideas into meaningful, well-executed initiatives. You’ll support students in developing their vision, building and executing strategic plans, and progressing toward their pathway- and tier-specific outcomes.
Through regular mentoring sessions, document reviews, progress checkpoints, and coordination of expert consultations, you’ll provide the structure and guidance students need to stay on track. Your role is to help students take increasing ownership of their projects while ensuring they deliver work that demonstrates substantive growth, leadership, and meaningful impact - both within the project itself and as part of their broader college application journey.
What are the main responsibilities for this role?
Mentor students through regular sessions, structured checkpoints, and ongoing project guidance.
Guide project development from initial proposal through execution, milestone completion, and final submission.
Track student progress against pathway- and tier-specific outcomes, providing timely feedback and support to keep projects on track.
Coordinate expert consultations and external resources, helping students access the expertise, networks, and opportunities needed to strengthen their projects.
Support students in developing meaningful, impact-driven projects that demonstrate ownership, leadership, and real-world outcomes.
Collaborate with Strategists and Admin teams to ensure a coordinated and seamless student experience.
Who You Are?
Strong academic or professional background in a STEM-related field, such as Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Biomedical Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or other relevant technical disciplines aligned with our Capstone pathways.
A degree from a Top 30 U.S. university or Oxbridge is strongly preferred, though exceptional candidates with substantial technical expertise and demonstrated industry experience will also be considered.
For candidates based in Australia, New Zealand, or Latin America, a U.S. educational background is not required. We particularly value strong industry experience, technical project management skills, and a proven track record of developing and delivering STEM-related projects.
Demonstrated experience in hands-on STEM projects, including areas such as product development, engineering design, software development, scientific research, prototyping, or applied technology. Experience taking projects from initial concepts through development and execution is highly valued.
Resourceful and well-connected, with the ability to identify technical opportunities, leverage professional networks, and help students access relevant experts, industry connections, tools, and technical resources.
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex technical concepts, guide students through challenges, and support them in translating ideas into practical, achievable outcomes.
A genuine passion for STEM education, mentorship, and innovation, with the ability to inspire students to explore technical challenges, think critically, and develop meaningful projects with real-world applications.
Available for a minimum of 5 hours per week.
