About the Company
Delta Institute, part of the Crimson Education ecosystem, offers innovative extracurricular programs designed to help students develop real-world skills and strengthen their university applications.
Through Delta Launch, high school students gain hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence and Coding, building real projects that prepare them for future STEM studies and careers.
Position: AI Mentor
Service: Delta AI @ Delta Launch
Reporting line: Operations Manager, Delta Launch
What is this role responsible for?
We are looking for passionate AI Mentors to guide high school students as they explore artificial intelligence and build their own independent AI projects.
This is a part-time, hourly, remote role, working with students located around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Mentor and support students in learning AI and Python programming
Guide students in developing independent AI projects
Lead hands-on coding sessions and brainstorming activities
Monitor student progress and provide feedback
Support students in preparing project presentations and demos
Collaborate with the Delta Launch team to ensure program success
Requirements
Knowledge of AI concepts including Machine Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, or LLMs
Strong Python programming fundamentals
Experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or other ML tools
Experience mentoring, tutoring, or teaching is preferred
Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Minimum 4 hours of availability per week
Native or fluent Japanese language skills are required.
Qualifications
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in teaching, mentoring, or training individuals in AI or related technical fields, with a strong track record of successful outcomes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with a passion for teaching and supporting student development.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Nice to have
Experience in AI curriculum design or project supervision
Industry experience in AI, Data Science, or Machine Learning
Graduate of Oxbridge, Ivy League, or top universities
