This is a contracted, fully remote position.
What are the main responsibilities for this role?
- Provide comprehensive and constructive feedback on students' portfolios for conservatoire and other performance programmes, focusing on content, delivery and techniques.
- Identify students' strengths and areas for improvement, offering strategic advice to enhance their portfolios and chances for admission
- Stay informed about current trends and expectations at top performance programmes in the US and UK to provide relevant guidance.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality in handling students' personal information and application materials.
- Participate in Crimson Education’s training to stay aligned with our goals, methodologies and technology development
What skills and experience are required?
- A minimum of an Arts performance or other relevant degree (e.g. Music, Dance, Theatre), including personal experience with portfolio construction
- Experience in Arts performance admissions, particularly with assessing applicant portfolios.
- In-depth understanding of the admissions processes and expectations for performance programmes and expectations .
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire students while providing rigorous and insightful feedback.
- Proven track record of helping students succeed in competitive admissions settings
- Ability to create a supportive and encouraging environment while maintaining high standards of critique.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple arts portfolio reviews efficiently.
