Job Description
Crimson Athletics — a division of Crimson Education — is seeking a Marketing Manager to scale our efforts in building the premier global brand in collegiate sports recruitment and athlete development.
Crimson Athletics helps student-athletes gain admission to top-tier colleges while competing at the highest levels of collegiate sports. We are on a mission to expand opportunities for talented athletes by combining elite athletic development with personalised support and academic excellence.
You will work closely with our global marketing and athletic teams to promote impactful content, events, and partnerships in key markets — from webinars and in-person events to success stories and digital campaigns. If you're passionate about helping families access life-changing college opportunities through sports and enjoy strategic execution, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities
The Athletics Marketing Manager will:
- Lead Campaign Strategy (by sport & region): Leading the athletics marketing function, construct an effective quarterly marketing strategy and calendar. Build region- and sport-specific campaigns that speak to parents and athletes alike.
- Project Manage Across Teams: Drive cross-functional collaboration across content, design, web dev, partnerships, and sales. Bring marketing projects from idea to execution — on time and on brand.
- Build & Maintain Local Market Relationships: Collaborate with key stakeholders in AU/NZ, UK, Singapore, Japan, and China/SEA to tailor messaging and event strategy.
- Run Multi-Channel Campaigns: Oversee digital campaigns across paid, organic, and social (Meta, LinkedIn, SEM, etc.) and liaise with performance marketers to hone.
- Own Content Creation: Develop persuasive, on-brand content — from sharp ads and email campaigns to video reels, webinars, presentations, and blog posts.
- Promote Events & Webinars: Lead GTM strategy for showcases, webinars, and partnership events — including invites, registration pages, follow-ups, and post-event nurturing.
- Elevate Our Social Voice: Own our social presence with high-frequency, relevant, and inspiring content aligned to athlete mindset and family decision-making.
- Use Data to Drive Decisions: Set KPIs, track campaign performance, and continuously optimize funnel health and lead quality.
Required Skills and Experiences
We are looking for someone who:
- Has 3–5 years of experience in marketing, ideally in youth, sport, education, or performance spaces.
- Has genuine familiarity with athletic culture and language — ideally as a former athlete, coach, or sports marketer.
- Is a high-energy executor who can take ownership and drive work across multiple stakeholders.
- Understands the psychology of parents and athletes navigating high-stakes choices.
- Thrives in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Is confident in writing, presenting, and communicating across time zones and cultures.
- Brings a bias for action — you’d rather ship, test, and iterate than wait for perfect.
- Carries a Type A personality — being highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through.
- Bonus: Is familiar with NCAA recruiting, admissions timelines, or tools like Salesforce, Marketo, or Webflow to launch impact.
Why work for Crimson?
At Crimson you can:
- Make a real impact by helping young athletes and their families access life-changing college opportunities.
- Join a mission-driven team that values integrity, excellence, and innovation.
- Enjoy creative freedom, collaborative leadership, and the chance to build something truly impactful.
- Rapidly growing start-up, with a flexible working environment where you will be empowered to structure how you work.
- Limitless development and exposure - our internal promotions/role changes made up 33% of all recruitment last year.
- A $ 1,000 individual training budget per year; we love to ‘Level Up’ (it’s one of our core values)!
- Radical Candor is a feedback approach we live by.
- We’re a global player with 30 markets (and growing) worldwide. Most roles have the option to work from one of our many offices or remotely!
If you're passionate about growing in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and want to work with cutting-edge technology, then we'd love to hear from you!
