US College Sport Lead – [Swim, Track & Field, Soccer]

Want to revolutionize the future of education and do meaningful work that transforms future generations’ lives?
Crimson Education is a Series C, global EdTech startup founded in 2013 with the idea that through personalized education and technology, we can transform students into the world leaders of tomorrow. We’re now in 28 markets and have an ambitious team of 700 that’s rapidly expanding across the globe. Our tech platform connects 3000 tutors/mentors to students aiming to achieve admission and scholarships to top universities or their dream career pathway.
About this role:
Crimson Education is growing our Athletic Recruitment division and seeking sport-specific Athletic Strategy Consultants with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and supporting the next generation of collegiate student-athletes.
For the right candidate, there is also potential to take on a Sport Lead role — managing the full sales and service pipeline within your sport, while also providing strategic support to student-athletes.
This is a contract-based, fully remote role with flexible hours and client load (10-20 hours to begin with). The hybrid position is ideal for those who bring both domain expertise and commercial or leadership capability. There is potential for a full-time role in the future.
What are the key responsibilities for this role?
1. Service Delivery
- Provide strategic 1:1 support to student-athletes within your sport, building meaningful mentoring relationships over time.
- Meet with each student-athlete regularly (typically every 3–6 weeks, depending on program stage and timeline).
- Offer tailored feedback on athletic development, recruitment positioning, and highlight video structure.
- Guide student-athletes through NCAA/eligibility requirements, training and competition planning, and coach communications.
- Recommend the right camps, showcases, and competitions to elevate visibility.
- Help student-athletes define realistic recruitment plans and stay accountable throughout the process.
- Maintain communication with families and provide progress updates as appropriate.
2. Business Development & Pipeline Leadership-
- Own the top-to-bottom pipeline in your sport: from new lead evaluation to client onboarding and performance tracking.
- Execute the Crimson sales model, including collaboration with SDRs, attending intro calls, triaging enquiries, supporting sales conversion.
- Lead client evaluations, offering insight into athlete readiness and realistic recruitment opportunities.
- Support referral and partner development — particularly where you have existing coaching or academy connections.
What skills and experiences are required for this role?
- Experience playing or coaching at a top US college.
- A strong understanding of the college recruiting process — ideally with sport-specific insights.
- Proven ability to hustle: you’re proactive, resourceful, and don’t wait for someone else to solve the problem.
- Attention to detail: regardless of the task, you care enough to get it right.
- Comfort owning outcomes — both in student performance and sales. You take responsibility and follow through.
- Strong communication skills — able to build trust with students, parents, and coaches.
- A genuine passion for mentorship and belief in the power of sport to change lives.
- Overall, you have excitement to contribute to a fast-moving, entrepreneurial team — this is a fast-growing team within a global startup, and we’re building something big.
Crimson Team Expectations:
- Prioritize establishing meaningful, supportive, mentoring relationships with students.
- Deliver elite, highly personalized service to students and their families.
- Maintain alignment with the rest of the Crimson team so that the student’s progress and school alignment is understood.
- Actively contribute to the development and evolution of Crimson’s Athletics services.
